A chill is in the air, the Halloween costumes are tucked away and we’re quickly moving into the holiday season. As Thanksgiving approaches, all of us at Intuit® wish to extend our gratitude to you, our readers, who inspire us to deliver awesome every day. Here are the latest enhancements in QuickBooks® Online Accountant and QuickBooks Online for November.
Coming Soon! Customize your Client List in QuickBooks Online Accountant
Very soon, QuickBooks Online Accountant will allow you to organize your client list in custom groupings you create. This will enable you to categorize and view your clients in a way that is relevant for your practice. Whether you run your business by type of client or cadence of work, you will be able to create grouping names and then easily drag and drop clients into the appropriate category. The client list page will also be refreshed to include your client’s name, email address and phone number, so company contact information is at your fingertips. When you need to make changes, just click the edit client link.
Reaching out to clients on the go has never been easier. Just open the client list in your mobile device and tap the icon to call, text or email. Now isn’t that something to be thankful for?
New! Automatic Sales Tax Calculation in QuickBooks Online
Cha-ching! Ringing up a sale is the best part of owning your own business. It’s why your clients get out of bed in the morning. However, with more than 40,000 different tax laws across the country, it’s hard for your clients to keep track of how much sales tax to collect every time they close a sale. The problem is solved with the new Sales Tax Calculation in our QuickBooks Online Tax Center! First, users set up their sales tax information for the cities and states where they do business. Then, every time they create an invoice, the sales tax will be automatically calculated based on the location of the sale and the type of product or service they are selling. If users want to double check the sales tax calculation, they can click on the blue Sales Tax link in the invoice. As your client’s company grows, the sales tax agencies can be added or edited. Isn’t it nice to know that QuickBooks Online has taken the guesswork and stress out of staying compliant with the tax man? To learn more, visit the Sales and Sales Tax website. That’s all for now! We’ll have more updates for you in December. Until then, we wish you a Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy your turkey dinner, Black Friday shopping, and football watching!
