It’s time to start new habits. Why? It’s a new year. One of my dear friends recently asked me to show them how to use QuickBooks Online Projects. My initial reaction was, “What?”

Projects are not a new feature, but instead a new habit to start. This existing feature is so much easier to use than customers and sub-customers. One great reason is the Project profitability reports.

This feature, available in QuickBooks Online Plus, enables you to stay organized by keeping transactions and time pertaining to a particular job all in one place.

Not only does this help with organization, but also makes monitoring a particular job’s profitability easy. There are several reports that will allow you to view your profitability, transactions, unbilled work and even non-billable time.

You can say goodbye to the extra management software solutions or excel sheets that you use to keep track of the different jobs.

How to Enable Projects

  1. Select the Gear, and then Accounts and Settings
  2. Select Advanced
  3. Turn on projects

This is a great time and money-saving tool to start your 2022 year off right and will help keep your business profitable.
