The management of enterprise software company Decision Lens wanted to expand their budget prioritization software business into other states, but one of the many challenges they faced was figuring out complicated sales tax structures, which varied from state to state and even neighborhood to neighborhood. There were different rates, different due dates, and some jurisdictions didn’t charge tax at all. Since the Decision Lens products help commercial, state, and federal government agencies, like the Department of Health Services and the Coast Guard, prioritize budgets, 100% accuracy was key.
