Intuit has officially dropped the QuickBooks Point-of-Sale powered by Revel product from its sales and marketing. Revel will no longer be marketed under the QuickBooks brand.
Intuit has advised its Resellers Program members to “remove any QuickBooks branding associated with Revel” from websites and marketing materials. In October 2014, Intuit and Revel Systems launched a partnership to co-market and sell Revel Point-of-Sale software under the QuickBooks brand. Revel has shifted its focus to serve mid-market and enterprise-level customers, while Intuit remains committed to small businesses. Some of these – especially brick-and-mortar retailers with complex inventory needs – require a POS solution, and so Intuit actively is evaluating its future strategy in this space.
