It seems more important than ever that ‘the look’ of everything…functionality is great, but “look” reigns supreme. That maybe one of the reasons behind one of the newest ‘options’ for QuickBooks Online users from QuickBooks Labs. The ‘old’ Reports page was somewhat cluttered, and perhaps unclear for the typical QBO user, in part because it employed ‘accounting terminology’. The new QuickBooks Labs feature is called ‘Easier to Navigate Reports’ because it gives your Reports page a fresh new look and simple, easier navigation.

Reports are now visible on one page and grouped by subject area in everyday language (instead of those accounting terms), making it easier to find, favorite and run reports. Plus you can put your favorite reports right up top.

This new feature is available for either QuickBooks Online Accountant, or QuickBooks Online, users. To turn on the feature in Labs: Go to the gear icon in the upper right of QuickBooks Online.

Under Settings, click on QuickBooks Labs Turn-on Easier-to-navigate reports. When QuickBooks confirms that the ‘Easier-to-navigate reports plugin has been activated’, click the X in the upper right of the QuickBooks Labs window to return to QBO.

As you can see the new Reports landing change ‘has the look’, it’s a lot different than the old page. Just ‘favorite’ the reports you use the most and they will stay at the top of the page. Collapse and expand each report group for easier viewing.
