QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA) now allows accounting professionals to manage all your clients in QBOA — even those that don’t use QuickBooks within the product. This feature has been available for QuickBooks Online clients — the new feature is that it is now available to non-QuickBooks clients.

This feature allows accountants to create, assign, and track projects as well as add notes to a client. From this feature you can even send client requests asking for documents such as bank statements.

The result of this new feature is that accounting professionals can now have a complete client list within the QuickBooks Online Accountant client dashboard where you can track, monitor, and perform tasks from one place to ensure that nothing falls through the cracks.

Follow These Steps to Start Using This New Feature

First, you can create the project as in this example, “Monthly Bookkeeping,” and select Add new if the client does not exist in the list.

This innovation is now available globally for QuickBooks Online Accountant users in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, South Africa, and France. This tool enables accountants to view client information, notes, and details in one place, and enables keeping up with deadlines. You can view the full press release online here.
