Big Change to ProAdvisor Member Website

Intuit has announced that its stand-alone ProAdvisor Member Website will be retired on Aug. 1, 2017. This means ProAdvisors will only have access to the ProAdvisor Member Website, including their Profiles, Software, Certifications and Resources from QuickBooks Online Accountant.
Intuit actually announced its intention to make this change months and months ago, but it didn’t happen back then. I suspect it may have been delayed because some ProAdvisors who were not using QuickBooks Online (or QBOA) complained about the change.
Well, one thing I have learned in all my years is that change is inevitable, and so it is with our QuickBooks ProAdvisor Center.
Intuit actually began redirecting ProAdvisors to QBOA from its accountants.intuit.com website this past February. But as I mentioned earlier, it is abandoning stand-alone access on Aug. 1.
So, starting in August, if you need access to the ProAdvisor Center for purposes of software subscription management, including downloads or accessing your license numbers, you have to get it via QBOA.
After July 31, if you need to update your ProAdvisor profile or your Intuit account information, you have to use the access provided by QBOA.
If you’re looking for training content or certification preparation for QuickBooks 2017, or QuickBooks Enterprise or QBO, you’ll need access via QBOA.
Once you login to your free QBOA account, you can access the ProAdvisor Center via the ProAdvisor menu item in the left-hand navigation bar (shown below).
For additional details about these changes, see the official webpage.
If you don’t already have a QBOA account, you can signup for a free one here.
